Electric Intercity Bus In Europe
On July 3, 2021, it was reported that YUTONG's new generation of pure electric intercity bus IC12E successfully passed the world's first long-distance all-road scenario test for pure electric intercity buses. It traveled through four countries: Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway, covering a total distance of 1,272 kilometers. Under the strict standards of Europe, it demonstrated the professional quality and reliable performance of Chinese new energy buses, which has sparked heated discussions overseas.
Europe, as the birthplace of the automotive industry, has always had strict automotive access standards. From Hamburg, Germany to Copenhagen, Denmark, the YUTONG IC12E traveled 510 kilometers in one go, with its battery level dropping from 99% to 28%, and still showing a remaining range of 170 kilometers on the display, demonstrating remarkable endurance. During the battery charging test, the vehicle used a single charging gun, and the SOC rose from 13% to 99% in just 1 hour and 40 minutes. On the continuous uphill sections in Norway, the vehicle, with its powerful performance and climbing ability, "rode as smoothly as on flat ground". After a long journey of 1,272 kilometers, the YUTONG IC12E successfully reached Oslo, Norway, with a total power consumption of 926 kW·h and an average power consumption as low as 0.7 kW·h/km (the vehicle was not fully loaded), showcasing extraordinary capabilities.
Facts have proved that the YUTONG IC12E, as a "more professional intercity vehicle", has withstood the rigorous tests of European standards.
