Wind Turbine in Africa

In July 2025, Goldwind Technology assisted the GOSII project expansion project in Egypt to achieve full grid connection four months ahead of schedule. A total of 20 Goldwind GWH182-7.5MW units were installed in the project. As a result, the total installed capacity of the GOSII project has reached 650MW, making it the largest operational wind farm in Africa and also the wind farm with the largest single-unit capacity in Africa. This has once again raised the banner for the development of new energy in Africa.

The expansion project adopted the GWH182-7.5MW unit of Goldwind Science & Technology, which is currently the largest unit in operation in Africa. Its dust-proof system and heat dissipation design have been specially optimized, enabling it to operate efficiently and stably in extreme environments such as high temperatures and sandstorms in the Gulf of Suez region.
